An option to 319, 355, and 356 heat treated aluminum sand castings is the Tenzaloy, or 713 as-cast aluminum alloy that we pour in our aluminum sand foundry. Physical properties are equivalent to the heat treated 300 series aluminum alloys with minimum results of 32,000 psi tensile, 22,000 psi yield strength and 3.0% elongation.

713 is a cast aluminum alloy consisting of 0.25% silicon, 0.35% chromium, 0.15% nickel, 1.1% iron, 0.4 to 1% copper, 0.2 to 0.5% magnesium, 0.25% titanium, 7 to 8% zinc, and 0.6% manganese. 713 is commonly used to make parts for various industrial sectors where high strength and ductility are important. 713 attains its strength during a naturally aging process typically achieving these properties …

713.0 aluminum is an aluminum alloy formulated for casting. 713.0 is the Aluminum Association (AA) designation for this material. A07130 is the UNS number. Additionally, the SAE designation is 315. Older literature may refer to this material as ASTM ZC81A, but this is now discouraged.
